Recently, I had the incredible opportunity to travel to the Dominican Republic with 100 other travel advisors for a week of in-depth training seminars, resort inspections, and unforgettable excursions. Hosted by Transat, our experience was centered at Majestic Resorts in Punta Cana, and it was the perfect chance to gain firsthand knowledge of the local resorts while soaking in the vibrant culture and beauty of this tropical paradise.
A Week of Learning and Exploration
Our trip wasn’t about relaxing in paradise—it was a chance to deepen our expertise as travel advisors. Throughout the week, we attended Transat training workshops focused on customer preferences, resort features, and trends in the industry. We found exceptional occasions to connect with BDMs (Business Development Managers) from top suppliers, allowing us to gain valuable insights and establish strong relationships with key industry leaders.

One very notable aspect of the trip was viewing the finishing touches being added to the all new Secrets and Dreams Playa Esmeralda, two stunning resorts located in the picturesque Miches region. Set to open summer 2025, these properties promise an exceptional experience for both couples and families.
